RCT’s 2027 Payroll Blueprint: RT's Offseason

[RCT]

1) I'd rather have Suzuki, Arozarena, Morejon or Bednar then what I have, but there is no way they are signing with the Royals if we are being honest with ourselves.

2) I traded Loftin plus Seattle's pick of favorite catching prospect and lower-level arm to the Mariner's for Hancock.

3) Got us at $152M when you keep Ragans and Bergert's salary in the calculation under POS.  Also, non-tendered Isbel and Mears.

Another big buy for the bullpen. Well, a moderate buy in today’s money but it feels like a lot for non-elite guys.

Emerson Hancock would be a solid addition to the starting rotation. Would love to get Soto or Abreu through free agency.
