  1. I struggle with this. I feel like they should move at least one of Wacha or Lugo, but it's so fortunate to have a rotation like this and I understand not wanting to dismantle it even a little bit.
  2. Hello everyone, Excited to announce the Kansas City Public Library has invited me to do a Signature Event for my new 1985 World Series book, "Interstate '85"! Next week on Thursday, July 9, I will be joined in conversation by 1985 bat boy Chris Browne and award-winning KC Star writer Vahe Gregorian for a one-hour panel about all things 1985. It's a special event you don't want to miss, so RSVP at the link below! https://kclibrary.org/events/interstate-’85-royals-cardinals-and-show-me-world-series
  3. Good piece. I was thinking Wacha would be the main chip to move, and he would get a good return. But like you said, probably not the best look for attracting starting pitching long term.
  4. The book came out last year, so it's readily available. But if you would like a physical or PDF review copy, me or my publisher can happily oblige. Thanks!
  5. Hello all, First post, and glad to be here. I got into the Royals as a result of writing a book about the 1985 World Series, which was published last year for the 40th anniversary! The book, entitled "Interstate '85: The Royals, the Cardinals, and the Show-Me World Series," shows there was *way* more to the I-70 World Series than just Don Denkinger's missed call (which Cardinals fans need to stop blaming already). I interviewed almost all of the 1985 Royals for it, including George Brett, Steve Balboni, Mark Gubicza, Dane Iorg, Frank White, Hal McRae, Buddy Biancalana, Bud Black, Charlie Leibrandt, and many more! I even talked to Ozzie Smith and six other Cardinals, as well as Denkinger himself. The book has enjoyed great reception, being ranked as one of the best of 2025 by Sports Collectors Digest and being peer reviewed and praised by Randy Covitz of the Kansas City Star. I even had a Cardinals fan tell me he puts it on the level of David Halberstam and John Feinstein! I hope you all enjoy it...you can get it from any major or local bookseller you prefer. https://www.amazon.com/Interstate-85-Cardinals-Show-Me-American/dp/0826223273 Thanks, and go Royals, Marshall Garvey
